Get appropriate medical attention, e.g. on site first aid, and potentially hospital treatment. Tell the Doctors clearly what happened, and inform your GP about the accident

Talk to a specialist injury lawyer, as soon as possible. They can advise on how to make sure your case gets the attention it deserves, and make a claim within the time limits.

Report it to your employer. It’s important to get the injury recorded in the accident book. Also report it to the Department of Work and Pensions, in case it affects your eligibility for benefits

Gather details. Gather witnesses’ names and details.

Talk to your representative, either the site Union official or Health and safety rep. Ask them to take photos of the scene for you.

Gather evidence. Take photos of your injuries, and keep taking more as your treatment progresses
